The hungarian mezzosoprano begun her studies with studying piano at the Bela Bartok Music School and attended the Ferenc Erkel Primary School of Music in Hungary. She continued solo singing at the Janos Richter Konservatorium in Győr in the class of Prof. Veronika Dobi - Kiss. She has been awarded several times at Hungarian singing competitions. In 2010 she got the 1st Birgit Nilsson Memorial Award in Vienna. She finished her studies at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna in the class of the acclaimed opera singer Univ. Prof. Gabriele Lechner.
She made her first opera debut in the role of Suzuki at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Mumbai in India in 2008. During her studies in Vienna she sang several roles (Judith - Bluebeard's Castle, Mother - Hänsel und Gretel, Madame Flora - The medium) on the stage of the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn and the Neue Studiobühne of Penzing too. Since 2010 she has been a guest singer of the Oper Frankfurt and has sung the roles of Schwertleite and Rossweisse (Die Walküre). In Autumn 2012 she was invited to take part in performing Flosshilde and Schwertleite in the world premiere of the 'Colon - Ring' at the Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her first Verdi role was Ulrica (Un ballo in maschera) at the Oper Frankfurt in 2013, with big success. In Summer 2013 she sang Third Lady in Mozart's Magical Flute at the Bregenz Festival in Austria. She perfromed several roles - Erdas, Carmen, Fricka, Schwertleite, Waltraute, Dritte Dame, Annina - at the new Music Theatre of Linz in Austria. On 8th of June 2015 received the Musiktheaterpreis 2015 "Goldener Schikaneder" in the category of best female supportive role for the Rheingold Erda (Landestheater Linz) at Ronacher in Vienna. Her very first Hungarian opera debut was "Erda" (Rheingold and Siegfried) on the stage of Palace of Arts Budapest - "Wagner in Budapest Festival" on 11th and 13rd June 2015. Her second was again in the role of the Rheingold Erda, at the Hungarian State Opera, in November 2015. She has attended various masterclasses by Univ. Prof. Gabriele Lechner - "International Sommerakademie" in Reichenau an der Rax, KS Sylvia Sass and Thierry Pillon - "Pézenas Enchantee Festival", Dame Gwyneth Jones - Bayreuth. During her career so far she has worked with the following acclaimed conductors, directors and singers: Franz Welser-Möst, Ádám Fischer, Sebastian Weigle, Johannes Wildner, Roberto Paternostro, Patrick Summers, Hartmut Keil, Dennis Russel Davies, Karel Drgac, Vera Nemirova, Valentina Carrasco, Eric Uwe Laufenberg, Linda Watson, Jukka Rasilainen, Sylvia Sass, Susan Bullock, Terje Stensvold, Daniel Sumegi, Eva-Maria Westbroek, Frank van Aken, Egils Sillins, Oskar Hillebrandt. © Bernadett Fodor
