Born in Reykjavik, contralto Elsa Waage commenced her music and voice education at the Conservatory of her home town.
She later specialized in the Netherlands and in the United States, getting her bachelor degree of music at the Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. She became member of the New Jersey Opera Institute, performing many different roles. She partecipated to masteclasses with Birgit Nilsson, Cesare Alfieri, Helmut Deutsch, Dalton Baldwin, Elly Ameling, David Shaw, Erich Werba and Virginia Zeani. © Elsa Waage |
