Claudia Huckle, contralto British contralto Claudia Huckle will be performing the role of Lucretia in the Glyndebourne on Tour production of Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia. The role was wirtten for another British contralto, Kathleen Ferrier, and also premiered at Glyndebourne, has some fantastic writing for the contralto voice.
There will be four performances at Glyndebourne, and then one at the following venues: Woking, New Victoria Theatre; Norwich, Theatre Royal; Canterbury, The Marlowe Theatre; Milton Keynes Theatre; and Plymouth, Theatre Royal. Tickets can be booked on the Glyndebourne website.
