 | American contralto Claramae Turner has died aged 92 on 18th May 2013 in Santa Rosa, California. As a tribute, we shall have an Aria of the Day every day this week, each one a different song or aria by Claramae Turner. I have the honour of knowing that Claramae saw the Contralto Corner site when her rendition of "Re dell'abisso, affrettati" featured as "Aria of the Week". |
I'm glad she liked the site, and I'm also glad that I could bring a little bit of happiness to someone I both admired, and grew up listening to.
