Nicole Mitchell, Contralto Dramatic Contralto Nicole Mitchell will perform as the Alto Soloist in the Colour of Music's production of Verdi's Requiem on 26th October at 3pm. The event will be held at Memminger Auditorium in Charleston, SC, and Nicole will be joined by Soprano Taylor Louise Johnson, Tenor Robert Anthony Mack, Baritone Daniel A. Washington, and the Colour of Music Festival Chorus, under the direction of David E. Morrow.
The Colour of Music Black Classical Musicians Festival will feature vocal, piano and organ recitals, classical mixed ensembles and a finale chamber festival orchestra of black musicians presenting works by Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Charleston native son, Edmund Thornton Jenkins, William Grant Still, Fred Onovwerosuoke, Dominique Le Gendre, Nkeiru Okoye and many others.
