Contralto Lindsay Ammann will perform in two key Contralto Roles in the 2015-16 Opera season: Martha from John Adams' The Gospel of the Other Mary, and Erda from Wagner's Ring Cycle.
Following on from the phenomenal World Stage Premier at the ENO in 2014 (with Dramatic Contralto Meredith Arwady in the role of Martha), John Adams' powerful and intense opera will get another outing in Strasbourg with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest under the baton of Markus Stenz. This time round, Lindsay Ammann will take on the role of Martha, with its low tessitura including a gutsy D#3.

Lindsay will also perform in the Ring Cycle with Washington National Opera. She will take on the role of Erda in both Das Rhinegold and Siegfried, and will perform as Schwertleite (Die Walküre) and First Norn (Götterdämmerung). The first performance will be on 30th April 2016.
