Sonia Prina, Contralto Italian Contralto Sonia Prina is to take the title role in six productions from Nov 2014 - Jun 2015.
Prina will take the role of Cesare in Handel's Giulio Cesare in Egitto in three separate productions: at Teatro Regio in Torino from 20th - 29th November 2014, with Alessandro De Marchi conducting, and Contralto Sara Mingardo as Cornelia; at the Dresden Semperoper in Feb and March 2015, again with
Alessandro De Marchi; and finally at the Théâtre Municipal in Toulon with Rinaldo Alessandrini in April.
She will be performing as Adriano in Adriano in Siria at the Palau de la Música in Valencia in for one performance in Jan 2015, with Fabio Biondi conducting.
Also, Prina will take the title role in Orlando at the Dresden Semperoper in March 2015, with Jonathan Darlington conducting.
To cap it off, Sonia will perform in concert with Malena Ernman and Jennifer Holloway at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris with Jean-Christophe Spinosi conducting.
